Amanda Hoffman
Amanda was born in Ootautahi, Christhurc in 1969.
She started her ‘mahi toi’, art journey, 35 years ago in Ootepoti, Dunedin.
Studying ‘matapaia’ pottery, gaining an ‘Advanced Certificate in ceramics’ in 1988.
She then completed a ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts’ in 2001 in ‘tohu tiorea’ printmaking and ‘papanga’ Textiles, both at Ootaakou, Otago School of Art.
Amanda has enjoyed a successful ‘mahi toi’ art making journey.
Running a studio, supporting local artists, making & selling, to exhibiting & participating in fundraising events within the local community and Aotearoa, N.Z.
In 2012 she completed a ‘Diploma in Person centred counselling’ ‘tohutohu’, at Vision College in Ootautahi, Christchurch.
After ‘mahi’ in this area over the Canterbury E.Qs, Amanda found herself bringing her ‘ngakau’ heart for working in a person-centred way to teaching at ‘Risingholme learning’ since 2017.
